About
This visualization is a personal log of my cello practice sessions
for 8 days. With it, I seek to capture my progress as a cellist as
well as how over time, a piece can become more familiar and
personalized to one's playing style.

Key
-
Each measure represents a single practice session, for a total of
8 practice sessions. Within each measure, there are 5 notes that
represent the 5 main sections of my cello practice:
scales, etudes (exercises), solo #1, solo #2, and solo #3.
-
The height of the note on the staff represents how happy I am with my
progress for the section--the higher the note (vertically &
pitch-wise) the note is on the staff, the happier I am.
- The type of note represents the length of time spent for a given section. The eighth note represents 5-10 minutes. The quarter note represents 10-15 minutes. The half note represents 15-30 minutes.
-
A rest represents a physical rest that I took in the middle of the practice session
